  • Q17 「班機延誤保險」是否有同一事故的限制？ | Is there a same-incident restriction under the Flight Delay Insurance?

    下列情形視為同一事故，以給付一次為限：
    一、去程於同一機場所發生之班機延誤或班機取消。
    二、回程於同一機場所發生之班機延誤或班機取消。
    三、因班機延誤或班機取消所致轉接班機失接。

     

    The following circumstances are considered the same incident and are subject to a single benefit payment:
    (1) flight delays or cancellations occurring at the same airport during the outbound journey.
    (2) flight delays or cancellations occurring at the same airport during the return journey.
    (3) a missed connection resulting from a flight delay or cancellation.

     

  • Q18 被保險人搭乘的航班因故延誤，致失接預計轉接班機，是否為二次的班機延誤事故？ | If the insured's flight is delayed, causing a missed connecting flight, does this constitute two separate flight delay incidents?

    因班機延誤或班機取消所致轉接班機失接為同一事故，以給付一次為限。

     

    A missed connection caused by a flight delay or cancellation constitutes the same incident and is subject to a single benefit payment.

  • Q19 班機取消後替代班機的安排是否有限制，才能申請班機延誤保險？ | Are there restrictions on the arrangement of alternative flights after a flight cancellation in order to file a claim under the Flight Delay Insurance?

    一、以搭乘航空業者所提供之第一班替代交通工具為限。但被保險人因不可抗力因素致無法搭乘航空業者所提供之第一班替代交通工具者，不在此限。
    二、除返回中華民國之班機外，以原保險期間到期前安排者為限。
    三、被保險人自行安排替代班機之目的地須與原預定搭乘班機同一目的地。但僅變更轉機地而目的地未變更者，不在此限。

     

    (1) Coverage is limited to the first alternative transportation provided by the airline, except where the insured is prevented from taking the first alternative transportation due to force majeure.
    (2) Except for flights returning to the Republic of China, arrangements must be made before the expiration of the original policy period.
    (3) The destination of any alternative flight arranged by the insured must be the same as the original scheduled destination; however, a change of transit point without a change of final destination is permissible.

  • Q20 颱風發生後被保險人投保海外旅行不便保險，因颱風而發生班機取消可否賠付「班機延誤保險」？ | If the insured purchases Overseas Travel Inconvenience Insurance after a typhoon has already occurred, and a flight cancellation results from that typhoon, is a claim payable under the Flight Delay Insurance?

    倘被保險人向保險公司申請訂立保險契約時，中華民國政府氣象機構已發布海上颱風警報時，則該張保單因該颱風導致的班機延誤或取消將無法賠付。

     

    If, at the time the policyholder applies for the insurance policy, the meteorological authority of the Republic of China government has already issued an offshore typhoon warning, any flight delay or cancellation caused by that typhoon will not be covered under the policy.

  • Q21 如預定搭乘的航班取消後被保險人不想繼續行程而未再出發，可否賠付「班機延誤保險」？ | If the insured's scheduled flight is cancelled and the insured decides not to continue with the trip and does not depart, is a claim payable under the Flight Delay Insurance?

    很抱歉無法賠付。
    被保險人未再繼續行程，則無班機延誤之事實。
    被保險人必須搭乘航空公司所提供之第一班替代航班，如航空公司未安排而被保險人自行安排替代班機時，除返回中華民國之班機外，以原保險期間到期前安排者為限。實際出發時間較預定出發時間延誤四小時以上者，才符合班機延誤保險承保範圍。

     

    No benefit is payable.
    Since the insured has not continued with the trip, no flight delay has in fact occurred.
    The insured must board the first substitute flight provided by the airline. If the airline does not arrange one and the insured independently arranges an alternative flight, such arrangement — except for flights returning to the Republic of China — must be made before the expiration of the original policy period. Coverage applies only when the actual departure time is four or more hours later than the scheduled departure time.

  • Q22 被保險人經由小三通至廈門旅遊，返台時因颱風致船班延誤，可否賠付「班機延誤保險」？ | The insured traveled to Xiamen via the Mini Three Links and, upon returning to Taiwan, experienced a ferry delay due to a typhoon. Is a claim payable under the Flight Delay Insurance?

    很抱歉無法賠付。
    班機延誤保險僅承保預定搭乘之定期航班所發生的延誤。
    「定期航班」係指經當地政府登記許可之航（路）線，具有固定場站、固定班次(含加開班次)，提供不特定旅客運送服務之班機。

     

    No benefit is payable.
    The Flight Delay Insurance covers only delays affecting scheduled flights on which the insured holds a reservation.
    A 'scheduled flight' refers to a flight operating on a route registered and approved by the local government, with fixed terminals and scheduled services (including additional services), providing transportation to the general public.

  • Q23 被保險人預計搭乘的航班因故取消，航空公司或被保險人自行安排搭乘提早或未晚於四小時的航班，可否賠付「班機延誤保險」？ | The insured's scheduled flight is cancelled, and the airline or the insured arranges an alternative flight that departs earlier or no more than four hours late. Is a claim payable under the Flight Delay Insurance?

    很抱歉無法賠付。
    被保險人於保險期間內，以乘客身分預定搭乘之定期航班發生延誤，致被保險人實際出發時間較預定出發時間延誤四小時以上者，保險公司依保險契約約定之保險金額給付保險金。

     

    No benefit is payable.
    During the policy period, the insurer pays the benefit in accordance with the sum insured specified in the policy only when a scheduled flight on which the insured holds a passenger reservation is delayed, causing the insured's actual departure time to be four or more hours later than the scheduled departure time.

  • Q24 被保險人搭乘飛機起飛後發現故障，返回原機場修理後再起飛，所致延遲超過4小時，可否賠付「班機延誤保險」？ | After takeoff, a mechanical fault is discovered on the insured's aircraft, which returns to the original airport for repairs before departing again, resulting in a delay of more than four hours. Is a claim payable under the Flight Delay Insurance?

    班機起飛後如因故返回原機場檢修，再次出發所造成之行程受阻，仍須依航空公司出具之班機延誤證明為準。
    如證明所載延誤期間達4小時以上者，保險公司將依保險契約約定辦理理賠。

     

    If an aircraft returns to the original airport for repairs after takeoff, the resulting disruption to the itinerary remains subject to the flight delay certificate issued by the airline.
    If the certificate confirms a delay of four or more hours, the insurer will process the claim in accordance with the policy terms.
